Is it a feeling or an emotion? Is it a particular way of thinking, or even a discipline or practice? And how does it differ from being \u2018fulfilled\u2019 or \u2018satisfied\u2019?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q2:<\/strong> What is the very first thing that comes to mind when you complete the sentence \u201cif only\u2026&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..\u201d? To what extent do you think this reveals where you hope is placed, instead of God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q3:<\/strong> What methods have you found effective in transferring your hope back to God, when you\u2019ve felt your heart get dislodged, or pulled in the wrong direction?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q4:<\/strong> Have you ever battled with an inner sense of \u2018entitlement\u2019 \u2014 that God should be blessing you in more ways than he currently is, or that he should do more to alleviate the difficulties you\u2019re experiencing? If so, what\u2019s helped you combat that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q5:<\/strong> <strong>Romans 12:10<\/strong> says \u201cBe devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.\u201d An outworking of this could mean that we\u2019re happy for others when they receive things we would desperately love for ourselves, whether that\u2019s a form of blessing, provision, position or healing. In the spirit of love, we actually prefer the good things to happen to others, before ourselves. This is a key part of contentment. Is this something you\u2019ve thought about, or perhaps struggled to practice? Or have you felt blessed (even \u2018released\u2019) as you\u2019ve positioned your heart in this way?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Q6:<\/strong> Read <strong>\u202d\u202d2 Corinthians\u202c \u202d12\u202c:\u202d7-10<\/strong>, which speaks about how the power of Christ can rest on us amidst all our weaknesses and difficulties.
